INTRODUCTION TO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME

If you cannot pay the rest of your medical bills after using government subsidies, ElderShield and other initiatives, the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) can be used for the care cost.

This is for Permanent Residents who have a Medical Fee Exemption Card or Public Assistance Special Grant card.

To get help from the FAS:

HOW TO APPLY


1. Approach a Medical Social Worker
You can find a medical social worker in the institution you are staying in, for information on FAS and the application form.​

2. Prepare supporting documents

  • Photocopied blue NRIC
  • Valid photocopied MFEC or PA SG card
  • First and last page of your bank statement
  • Social report from the medical social worker
  • Invoices from your institution.
  • Statement of accounts/ receipts to show your co-payments
  • Supporting documents that justify high medical bills​

3. Submit the form and documents

The medical social worker will submit the form and documents to AIC.
