This project, the signature piece of the SPARKS! Art Wellness Exhibition, was put together by residents from two nursing homes: St. Andrew’s Nursing Home (Buangkok) and All Saints Home, Yishun Centre.
More than 40 pieces of flowers form this backdrop of flowers, which were painstakingly crafted using simple tracing, cut and paste techniques, and colour pencils.
The floral backdrop signifies the state of flowering, when a plant is ready to flourish. The process of involving all nursing home residents to be part of the collaboration depicts the strength of every single bloom, and ability to flourish together.
